Facilities

Fawnwood Ranch is set on 40 lush acres on the southeast edge of Northern El Paso County’s Black Forest. Our property has rolling green fields dotted with patches of mature ponderosa pines, and is bordered on three sides by hundreds of acres of open space.

Our main equine barn features an indoor arena approximately 120 x 50 feet and 6 stalls, each with automatic waterers and access to a corral. A heated tack room and bathroom facilities are also provided for the comfort of our clients.

Outside, our boarders and riders have access to a 150 x 85 foot arena, a 40 foot round pen, and approximately 3/4 mile of private, groomed dirt trails. Currently we have three large pastures (7-13 acres), each with its own spacious loafing shed, and a two acre pasture for hand grazing or short-term turnout.

Clients will enjoy beautiful, expansive views of the Eastern Plains and Southern Ranges. A herd of pronghorn roams the property and is sighted almost daily, and you’re also likely to encounter whitetail deer, redtail hawks and great horned owls, and of course cottontail, jackrabbits, and a plethora of smaller birds. The Ranch is also home to a small herd of domestic yak and a chicken coop!
